Aseară a avut loc ediția din acest an a BET Awards, premiile industriei muzicale de culoare. Pe scenă au cântat Bruno Mars, Chris Brown și Big Sean, au urcat pentru a primi trofeele nume cunoscute precum Chance the Rapper, New Edition, Remy Ma, precum și artiști debutanți, însă în plină ascendiune. Beyonce a câștigat la multe categorii, însă nu a participat la eveniment, în condițiile în care a adus pe lume recent doi gemeni.
