Marile vedete de peste Ocean au transmis mesaje de condamnare a violentei si de sustinere a dragostei neconditionate si sub orice mod, in urma atacului sangeros din Orlando.

Duminica, peste 50 de persoane au fost ucise si alte cateva zeci ranite dupa ce un tanar de origine afgana, Omar Mateen, a intrat in clubul unde acestea petreceau si a deschis focul.

Conform spuselor tatalui sau, acesta era homofob si era deranjat de faptul ca exista barbati care formeaza un cuplu si se saruta. Tanarul a fost ucis de politie dupa incident. Autoritatile cred ca Omar Mateen facea parte dintr-o miscare islamista radicala si ca era „un terorist care avea drept tinte persoane homosexuale”.

Presedintele american, Barack Obama, a condamnat dur atacul pe care l-a descris drept un „act de teroare”, „un act de ura” si a facut apel la cetatenii americani sa fie puternici în fata unei astfel de tragedii.

Vedetele de peste Ocean au reactionat pe retelele de socializare in urma acestui grav incident, ce a intervenit la o zi distanta dupa ce o alta tragedie s-a intamplat tot in Orlando: o fosta concurenta de la The Voice, Christina Grimmie, a fost impuscata mortal dupa concert.
